These notes are highlights from the minutes of the Parish Council Meeting on 5th October 2009 and will be published in the Parish Magazine in November 2009.
- 6.68.146.E.EXTP Woodlands Farm, temporary planning permission was granted on 21st September 09, subject to its removal and land restored to its former condition within two years of this date.
- 6.68.170.FUL Cherry Trees, Mill Lane, planning permission was granted on 15th September 09.
- 6.68.171.FUL Cherry Tree House, Straight Lane, a planning notification has been received for erection of a two storey side and single storey rear extension, these plans will be discussed at the next parish council meeting and they will be available for inspection.
High Green Kerbing
The protection of the high green project is finally being progressed and we are pleased that plans that have been discussed over the past few months are going to be implemented. The project will tidy up the high green and kerbing will be put in place to protect the green and deter vehicles from parking on it.
Harrogate Borough Council is providing a grant aid scheme and grants of up to £5,000 can be applied for between 14th September and 27th November 2009 for community projects. Application forms & guidance notes can be downloaded via www.harrogate.gov.uk/voluntary .
St Leonard’s Hall Recycling
Please be reminded that using the bottle banks outside St Leonard’s Hall, to recycle glass, helps raise money for the church.
Lost Cats and Dogs
We are aware of the increasing number of missing animals, please let us or local police know if you think that your animal may have gone missing. Mark Snowdon has spoken to local police so that they are aware of the problem.
The next meeting will be held in St Leonard’s Hall on Monday 2nd November at 7:30pm. Members of the public are very welcome to attend the meeting and we invite people to raise their views and concerns at the beginning of the meeting or in writing to the clerk.
