Parish Council Notes – December 2012

These notes are highlights from the minutes of the Parish Council Meeting on 5th November together with information since the meeting and will be published in the Parish Magazine in December 2012.

Planning
The parish council have received a planning application to erect a two storey extension, detached garage and formation of hard standing at 12 Birkhills.  This application will be discussed at the next parish council meeting and the plans will be available to view.

LDF Framework
An LDF sub committee has been formed and will endeavour to keep villagers informed as information becomes available.  The consultation period is now due to start in January.

Low Green Flooding
Yorkshire Water have installed two new man holes and further investigation is still current and ongoing.  A full report can be found on the website.

Parking
Concerns have been raised about the parking in the village causing obstruction, particularly along Station Lane.  Many cars are straggling the pavement and road, causing danger to traffic and pedestrians.  Please be reminded not to park on the pavements (it is illegal) and be considerate to others.

Gritting
More volunteers needed to grit the paths around the village – please come forward to be added to a rota.

Next meeting
The next meeting will be held in St Leonard’s Hall on Monday 3rd December 2012 at 7:30pm, members of the public are invited to listen to the chairman’s report, raise their concerns and observe the business of the meeting.
