These notes are highlights from the minutes of the Parish Council Meeting on 8th April together with information since the meeting and will be published in the Parish Magazine in May 2013.
Local Development Framework (LDF)
There is still no new information to report about the LDF proposal. However the consultation is due to start from 10th May. Therefore NOW is the time to respond and HAVE YOUR SAY.

Before the Sites and Policies DPD is submitted to the Secretary of State for an Independent Examination it will be subject to a final stage of public consultation (Publication Consultation) from 10 May to 21 June 2013.
This will be the next and final opportunity to comment upon the proposed plan.
HBC have said they will contact us directly at the start of the consultation with information about how to respond which they haven’t done yet so a quick response WILL be required!
Any new information will be posted on the notice boards, website and magazine.
Annual Litter Pick
We will be holding a litter pick on Saturday 11th May at 10am meeting on the low green. It is noticeable how much litter there is around the village and we really need your help. Bags and equipment will be provided. The more volunteers the lighter the work, so please please come along to help clean up our village.
New waste collection
Some people have raised their concerns about the new wheelie bin waste collection service which will start shortly. These have been forwarded to the District Councillor. Please let us know if you have any particular difficulties or concerns and we will try to address them.
The Parish Council would like to re-iterate to people of the importance of keeping dogs on a lead and in close control. Please keep in mind other people, children & dogs and be cautious within the village.
There are a huge amount of dog bags which are being left in the hedgerow and around the village. Please stop, dog waste should be collected and taken to the bins provided.
The Open and Annual meetings of the Parish Council will be held in St Leonard’s Hall on Monday 13th May at 7:30pm, members of the public are invited to listen to the chairman’s report, raise their concerns and observe the business of the meeting.
