Low Green Trees
Two new trees are due to be planted on the low green, thank you to the school children for their help deciding which trees they like best and their involvement in the planting ceremony! The new trees are White Beam (Sorbus Aria) and Field Maple (Acer Campestre), we look forward to seeing them in situ, thank you to everyone involved.
The annual village litter pick on Saturday 22nd M arch was a fantastic success – we would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who came to help. It was a great turnout and the village now looks amazing!
It is disappointing that although so many people are willing to help pick up litter, there is still a huge problem of dog walkers allowing their dogs to foul the pavements and people who leave bags of dog mess in the hedges. Please please help keep our village clean by picking up after your dog and using the bins provided.
We have had a number of complaints from villagers about unsafe parking in the village. Some vehicles parked on Station Lane are blocking the view of people’s drives. Please be considerate to your neighbours and other road users and park sensibly without causing obstruction to pedestrians & driveways. If you feel it is unsafe to park your car on the road without mounting the pavement please do not park there and where possible use your own driveways and garages.
The next meeting will be held in St Leonard’s Hall on Monday 14th April 2014 (new date) at 7:30pm, members of the public are invited to listen to the chairman’s report, raise their concerns and observe the business of the meeting.
The Chairman is Marie Barker
